HISTORIC AVENUES RESIDENCE

WITHIN A THRIVING DOWNTOWN HISTORIC COMMUNITY THIS AVENUES PROPERTY WAS A NEGLECTED CASUALTY OF TIME. OUR TEAM BREATHED NEW LIFE INTO THIS PROPERTY, RESURRECTING AND PRESERVING THE RICH HISTORY OF PLACE WHILE BLENDING THAT HISTORY WITH THE OWNERS WHIMSICAL SPIRIT.

OUR FIRST EFFORT WAS TO PRESERVE A HISTORIC STAINED GLASS WINDOW THAT WAS BEING REMOVED IN THE REMODEL OF THE HOME. SEEKING TO EXTEND ARCHITECTURE INTO THE LANDSCAPE OUR TEAM DESIGNED AN ARCHITECTURAL WALL THAT BECAME A NEW HOME FOR OUR PRESERVED WINDOW.

IN ORDER TO SCRATCH THE ARTISTIC ITCH OF THE CLIENT, ARTISTIC STEEL TREES WERE DESIGNED AS A BEAUTIFUL PRIVACY PANEL THAT FIT WITHIN THE TIGHT SPACE. LOCAL MATERIALS AND DYNAMIC FURNISHINGS ACTIVATE THE SPACE.

RED SANDSTONE PAVERS, FADING TO BLONDE, PLAYFULLY LEAD THE EYE THROUGHOUT THE VARIOUS LANDSCAPE ROOMS.

ART CONTINUES TO GREET THE USER AS THEY ENTER THE VEGETABLE GARDEN. CORTEN STEEL PANELS WERE DESIGNED TO DEPICT A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THIS HISTORIC STREET WHILE ALSO MAKING THE SPACE COME TO LIFE AS THE SUN SETS.

Within a thriving downtown historic community, this avenues property was a neglected casualty of time. Our team breathed new life into this property resurrecting and preserving the rich history of the place while blending that history with the owner’s whimsical spirit.
